Keep It Real & Relevant

Photos and content must relate to honey, bees, hives, farms, jars, labels, tasting, or local beekeeping.
Only upload content you created yourself or have full rights to share. No stock images, memes, screenshots, or someone else's photos without permission.
Farm profiles and photos should accurately represent the claimed farm. No fake listings or misleading information.

Good examples Clear jar photo of your local wildflower honey. Your hive setup in the backyard. A label close-up showing origin and certifications.

Not acceptable Stock photos from Google Images. Blurry screenshots of someone else's product. Photos unrelated to honey.

No Misleading or Harmful Claims

Don't make unverified health statements like "cures allergies," "prevents cancer," or claims to treat any medical condition.
Local raw honey may help some people with seasonal allergies through exposure to local pollen, but we stick to facts, not medical promises.
Labels and descriptions should reflect what's actually in the jar. No promoting adulterated or fake honey.
Be honest about sourcing. If it's not from your farm or a verified local source, say so.

Quality Matters

Photos should be clear, well-lit, and in focus so others can actually see the honey, jar, label, hive, or farm.
Avoid heavily filtered, blurry, dark, or low-resolution images. We may hide or remove them if they're not helpful.
Reviews and descriptions should be readable and useful. No ALL CAPS spam, excessive emojis, or unrelated links.

Respect Privacy & Safety

Don't include recognizable people (especially children) in photos without their clear consent.
No personal contact info, addresses (beyond general farm location), or anything that could compromise someone's privacy or safety.
Absolutely no hateful, violent, discriminatory, explicit, or illegal content.

No Spam or Promotion Abuse

Don't upload the same photo multiple times or flood the site with identical content.
Reviews and photos should be genuine. No fake praise, paid promotions disguised as user content, or repetitive advertising.
External links are fine if relevant (your farm's website, for example), but no link spam or affiliate stuffing.

What Happens If Rules Are Broken?

We review reported content and may remove or hide the photo or review, issue a warning, temporarily or permanently suspend accounts, or in serious cases (fraud, illegal claims) report to authorities.

We aim to be fair. Most issues are honest mistakes, and we'll usually reach out first. If you see something that doesn't belong, use the "Report" link on any photo or review.

Submitting Photos by Email

Email your photo to hello@melvea.com with the product name in the subject line.
Include your name if you'd like credit (optional). We'll never share your email address.
Photos auto-publish to the product page. If something needs to be fixed, we'll reach out.
By emailing a photo, you grant Melvea a license to display it on the site. You keep ownership and can request removal anytime. See full terms below.

License Grant: By submitting content to Melvea (including photos, reviews, or other materials submitted via email, forms, or any other method), you grant Melvea a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, and sublicensable license to display, reproduce, modify, adapt, and distribute your content on the Melvea website, social media channels, newsletters, and promotional materials. "Sublicensable" means we may need to pass usage rights to service providers (such as our hosting platform or CDN) in order to display your content — it does not mean we sell or commercially license your content to third parties.

You retain full ownership of any content you submit. This license simply allows us to use it on Melvea. We will not sell your content or use it in paid advertising without your separate written consent.

Your representation: By submitting content, you represent that you are the original creator or have the necessary rights and permissions to grant this license, and that your content does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

Removal requests: You may request removal of your content at any time by emailing hello@melvea.com. We will remove your content within 10 business days of receiving your request. Note that cached or archived versions on third-party services (e.g., search engine caches) are outside our control.

Copyright / DMCA Notice: Melvea respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on Melvea infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to hello@melvea.com that includes: (1) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (2) identification of the infringing material and its location on our site; (3) your contact information (name, address, phone, email); (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. We will investigate and respond promptly, and will remove or disable access to infringing content where appropriate.
